Lehigh Children's Academy

Committed to the highest quality of care and education for your child.

About Us > Our Teachers & Staff

The teaching staff of Lehigh Children’s Academy are committed to the highest quality of childcare and early education needs of your child.  Our teachers nurture, educate and encourage learning through exploration, and understand the balance between what your child needs to feel safe and what they require to reach their potential.  Our teachers are your partners in creating last impressions for a lifetime of learning.  We work together and celebrate successes, navigate challenges, and communicate daily about your child’s achievements and goals.

Lehigh Children’s Academy staff are qualified teachers and classroom assistants. All lead teachers have Masters Degrees, Bachelor Degrees or have earned sufficient college credit hours and experience to meet National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) standards. Lehigh Children’s Academy lead teachers are credentialed in areas that include Early Childhood Education. Our assistant teachers have a minimum of an associate’s degree or are certified as a child development associate. In addition, our staff go through extensive reference checks, a comprehensive health examination and state mandated screenings.

All Lehigh Children’s Academy staff are First Aid and CPR certified and trained in preventing the spread of contagious disease through universal precautions.  All staff members are required to participate in 24 hours of early childhood training annually.  We believe that learning is a life-long process, for children as well as adults. Lehigh Children’s Academy offers seminars and training in-services, and encourages our staff to become actively involved in the local early childhood community.

Early Childhood Development Specialists
Children deserve a bright and healthy start in life.  Lehigh Children’s Academy works with a team of early childhood development specialists that includes speech pathologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, special education teachers and behavioral specialists.  These specialists assist in curriculum development and evaluation to ensure your child’s education and care is developmentally challenging and appropriate.  Our specialists are available to provide training and regular consultations to teachers, and are an invaluable resource to our teachers, children and families.
